About Us
Gnomes Snowsports opened 25 years ago with one small ski and rental store. In December 2005, Canterbury Snowsports Specialist (CSS Ltd) was setup and purchased Gnomes Snowsports. With the vast knowledge needed to run a multi store snowsports retail and rental business they set to work to improve the business and services offered. They have a very definite direction and business plan to put into action over the next few years to see them become a leader in Snowsports retail.
Alistair Kerr - Director
Alistair has a wealth of technical knowledge for ski hardware. Being a keen skier himself he has a serious passion for the industry and more importantly the snow covered mountains. Alistair has 16 seasons of snowsports experience working in all areas from Workshop Manager to Staff Trainer for the UK's largest snowsports company. When not in the stores or office he will be on the mountains looking for those untracked lines, AKA product testing!

Leith Kerr - Director
Leith has been a ski boot/foot technician for over 20 seasons in both the northern and southern hemisphere. Leith has work for both the Uk's largest snowsports retailer and for London's most prestige custom ski boot lab. Gnomes Custom Boot Fitting is a technical customized ski boot and footbed lab that can gurantee top performance and more importantly high comfort to skiers and boarders using Leith's vast knowledge of bio mechanics. Leith is always first in line on a powder day!

Marc
5 Years of riding from Europe to Canada but looking forward to his first year in NZ. His main goal whilst in NZ is to perfect freeriding. Marc has 4 years experience in being a Ski Tech in one of the largest servicing workshops in the UK
Mel
Mels second season back in the snow sports and is ready to hit the slpoes. Ears always open to learning about new skis, boots and snowboards. Cant wait for the powder days to hit, theres no time like snow time!
Gnomes Freeski Team
We have just finalised our 2009 Freeski team. The members will be representing Gnomes in competitions across the country this season with a helping hand from Armada skis.
Matt Fitz – Matt has been a ski patroller for the last 4 years and has been doing back to back season between New Zealand and Lake Louise.Matt started competing in Canada this year and he is on a mission to bring back spread eagles and double daffy’s! Matt likes his big guns and skis on the Armada ANT 191cm.
Dan Walbeoff – Dan is a senior instructor from Porters with good experience. His main passion is Big-Mountain but he is a little injury prone in must be a Welsh thing! Dan has experience doing seasons in both the northern and southern hemisphere. Armada JP V’s Julien 178cm is his weapon of choice.
Simon McSherry – Simon (15 years old) is the youngest member of the team.He maybe small but he rips, main focus over the years has been park but he is looking at slaying the big mountain this season.Simon is using the Armada ARV to rip the bigger lines.
Neil Williman - Neil grow up skiing the Canterbury feilds and knows them like the back of his hands. Neil has seen a vast inprovement in his skiing over the past 2 years and is now well on his way. Big mountain is his first choice but can nail it in the park just as well.
